Every Thursday, as a preparatory aid, I post the following Sunday’s primary text that the sermon is based upon. The entire point is to take the Lord’s Day (Sunday), and make it (in concert with 4th Commandment) the “Highlight of our Week”, as opposed to our culture which makes Friday and Saturday evenings the highlight of the week. We as Christians have the blessing of taking Thursday, Friday, and Saturday and preparing our hearts to receive from the Lord what He would have for us in His Word on Sunday. Then, on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday – we reflect on how God spoke to us in His Word, and apply it in our daily lives! In so doing – we “Make Sunday Special” – for it truly is in the life of the Disciple! Below is our text at Christ Church Westshore- Anglican this Sunday.
John 7:37 – 39 On the last day of the feast, the great day, Jesus stood up and cried out, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink.
