On Fridays, I post some of the more interesting articles I’ve come across throughout the week to highlight what’s happening in the world, the US, the church, in the world of religion, sports, and in culture in general.

World:  Europe receives 8,000 Syrian refugees daily   A daily flow of about 8,000 Syrian and Iraqi refugees to Europe is likely to continue, the United Nations warns.  The figure came from UN regional coordinator for refugees, Amin Awad, in comments quoted by Reuters news agency.  read more

United States:  The Pope visits the United States for the First time –   Grief still palpable at site of Sept. 11 terror attacks.  Pope Francis said Friday that grief remains palpable at the site where nearly 3,000 were killed in terrorist attacks 14 years ago at the World Trade Center.  read more

Christian:  PEARUSA moves legally to ACNA, remains relationally connected!   The Synod of the Province of the Anglican Church of Rwanda, at its regular meeting on September 23rd, 2015, has initiated a bold move for Anglican unity.  read more

Anglican news : A Statement from Archbishop Beach on the Proposed Primates (Bishops Worldwide) Gathering.  Many of you have heard the news that I have been invited to attend a gathering of the Primates of the Anglican Communion this coming January.   I did indeed receive a personal call from Archbishop Justin Welby inviting me to attend and participate.  Read more
